New Windows 7 on its way.

Well it's as good as here - another version of Windows. According to official Microsoft info, Windows 7 is scheduled for release on October 22nd.

The successor to Windows Vista, in my opinion, it’s a marketing relaunch, mainly revolving around the corporate PC upgrade cycle, which last upgraded to Windows XP. So, should you buy it straight away or not? I wouldn't go buying a new PC with Windows XP installed on it, because you're going to end up with a computer you want to keep for between three and six years, and Windows XP is already seven years old.

If you want to buy a new PC now and you want something that's going to be current for a long time, you could hold off until the end of October, or you could buy one now with Windows Vista. The Microsoft website says... "Buy a qualifying PC today—or upgrade the one you have with a qualifying edition of Windows Vista—and you'll get an upgrade to Windows 7 after it arrives".

My advice is that if you really need a new PC now, such as for business, then buy now. Your business is important and you need the tools to make it run well today!

Just be prepared that upgrading to Windows 7 might not be as smooth as you hope, so if you don't want the headaches of upgrading later, then wait until the end of October.
